About The Living Memory Association

The Living Memory Association has been bringing people together through reminiscence since 1986 in Edinburgh and since 2016 in West Lothian. As a charity, we believe that sharing memories helps us connect, revealing what makes each life unique while highlighting what we all have in common.

With two Wee Museums of Memory, a community centre offering a free play area, and weekly activities open to all, we’ve created spaces where everyone can come together to share, connect, and be inspired.

Our Wee Museums of Memory

Our Wee Museums of Memory are welcoming spaces where people connect through hands-on reminiscence. Visitors are encouraged to explore and handle heritage artefacts—a sensory approach that can be especially valuable for people with dementia, helping to unlock distant memories.

Our Wee Hub

The Wee Hub is our community space in Leith, created in partnership with Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre. It’s a place where local artists, groups, and families come together to create, play, and connect.
