Reminiscence and Oral History in Edinburgh
The Living Memory Association is an Edinburgh based group
that aims to bring people together through reminiscence and oral history
work. We encourage
people to become actively involved in their community, share their memories,
learn from one another, feel valued and respected, and give their knowledge
of the past to younger generations.
Please browse through the site and find out more about
our work, events and our photographic
archive project amongst others-we have over 1600 photographs taken
by Edinburgh people dating from 1850 to recent times. Have a look at
our Newsletter
and Past Events pages
to see what has been happening in the LMA world in the past few months.
If you are in Edinburgh please drop in to our Reminiscence
Centre and see us. We are always happy to see people, talk about
memories, community history, look at photographs and get ideas for
new projects. You can have a comfy seat and browse through our photographic
archive and the many interesting items we've collected to spark reminiscences
of years gone by. And if you want to learn a bit more about the LMA
then click here or
click on the About the LMA link on the left of this page.
