DISABILITY HISTORY SCOTLAND

Changing experience of disability since WW1

Disability History Scotland have been awarded a Heritage Lottery grant to look at attitudes towards disability over the last 100 years.

The First World War is the starting point as so many people returned permanently disabled from the war.

The Living Memory Association are looking for people to interview.

Do you have any stories or experiences relating to disability?

It could be memories of older relatives or your own direct experiences.

How much better are attitudes now to disability than they were a hundred years ago?

If you would like to contribute to the project please contact us.
